Gentle Hands-On Therapy Techniques

Understanding Your Body's Messages

To help your body reorganise and create more flow and ease, it’s essential to understand what your body is trying to tell you. Recognising the root causes of pain, whether it's in your neck, back, hip, or knee, rather than just addressing symptoms can lead to lasting health improvements.

Understand Root Causes

Turning off symptoms like headaches, stress, and tension without addressing the underlying causes may not be beneficial in the long run. It's like turning off a car’s warning light without investigating the underlying issue. Addressing the root cause can prevent new symptoms from arising or existing ones from worsening, helping to reduce feelings of overwhelm and anxiety.

Hands-On Techniques

We use a variety of gentle hands-on therapy techniques, including:

  • McTimoney: A precise, whole-body approach to adjusting, which can help alleviate back and neck pain and many other joint issues.

  • Network Spinal Analysis (NSA): Gentle touches to the spine to improve overall health, addressing issues all over the body including hip and knee pain.

  • Trigger Point Releasing: Relieving tight areas within muscle tissue to reduce tension and headaches.

  • Stretching: Enhancing flexibility and reducing muscle tension, helping to manage stress and anxiety.

These exceedingly gentle techniques affect the nervous system, helping your body as a whole to reorganise and heal.

Nervous about Hands-on Techniques?

Don’t be, these techniques are very relaxing and non-invasive.

They do not include any clicking or cracking, but gentle touch and ‘taps’ in very specific locations.

The muscle work may involve a little more pressure, but even this is still very gentle.

It can leave you feeling more relaxed and grounded, and able to move more freely, although sometimes you need to feel something before you can heal it, so it may also bring up discomfort in order to move through it.
